How Does Multi-Run (Run It Multiple Times) Work in Hijack Poker?

Table of Contents

What Is Multi-Run?

Multi-Run, also known as Run It Multiple Times, allows players to deal the remaining community cards more than once after an all-in bet has been called.

Instead of running the remaining cards only once, players can agree to run them twice (2X) or three times (3X).

Each run has its own result, and the pot is divided equally among the runs.

When Is Multi-Run Available?

Multi-Run becomes available when:

  • At least two players are involved in an all-in situation.

  • The all-in bet has been called.

  • There are still community cards left to be dealt.

For example, if two players go all-in on the flop, they can agree to run the remaining turn and river cards multiple times.

How Does Multi-Run Work?

  1. A player goes all-in and gets called. The first player who voluntarily went all-in and was called gets to choose the number of runs. Being put all-in by posting a blind does not count.

  2. Choose the number of runs. The eligible player selects RUN IT 1X, 2X, or 3X.

  3. Other players must agree. Everyone else still involved in the hand must accept the selected number of runs.

  4. The remaining cards are dealt. If everyone agrees, the remaining community cards are dealt separately for each run.

  5. The pot is awarded. Each run is evaluated separately, and the appropriate portion of the pot is awarded to the winner or winners of that run.

Important: If even one player declines or does not respond before the timer expires, the hand automatically runs once (1X).

How Is the Pot Divided?

The pot is divided equally based on the agreed number of runs. This also applies to any side pots.

For example, if the total pot is $300:

Number of Runs Amount Per Run
1X (Run Once) $300
2X (Run Twice) $150
3X (Run Three Times) $100
Note: This example assumes a $300 pot available for distribution, without side-pot complications or deductions.

If players agree to 2X, the remaining community cards are dealt twice. Each run determines who wins its $150 portion.

One player could win both runs and receive the entire $300, or two different players could each win $150.

What If I Don't Want to Run It Multiple Times?
