What Is Heads-Up Sit & Go?

Heads-Up Sit & Go is a two-player poker tournament where you compete against one opponent.

The match begins as soon as both players are seated and ends when one player has won all the chips.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Game Type: No-Limit Texas Hold'em (NLH)

  • Players: Exactly 2

  • Starting Stack: 3,000 chips per player

  • Blind Levels: Increase every 3 minutes

  • Prize: Winner takes the entire prize pool

  • Re-entry: Not available

Heads-Up Sit & Go is separate from the existing Six-Seat Sit & Go format.

Available Buy-Ins and Prizes

Heads-Up Sit & Go offers the following buy-in options:

Total Entry Cost Buy-In + Fee Winner Receives
$6 $5 + $1 $10
$22 $20 + $2 $40
$110 $100 + $10 $200
$550 $500 + $50 $1,000
$1,100 $1,000 + $100 $2,000

Example: If you register for a $6 match, $5 goes toward the prize pool and $1 is the entry fee.

When both players register, the total prize pool is $10. The winner receives the full $10.

How to Join a Heads-Up Sit & Go

  1. Open Hijack Poker and go to the Sit & Go tab in the lobby.

  2. Select Heads-Up to view available tables.

  3. Choose your preferred buy-in.

  4. Tap Register and confirm your entry.

Once registered, you'll be seated at the table immediately.

If you're the first player to register, the table will display Waiting for 1 more player.

The match starts automatically when the second player joins.

Note: Each registration is for a separate match, and the applicable buy-in and fee are charged when you register.

How Does a Match Work?

Once both players are seated, the match begins automatically.

Each player starts with 3,000 chips, and the blinds increase every 3 minutes.

The match continues until one player has won all the chips.

At the end of the match:

  • The winner sees "Congratulations, you won!"

  • The losing player sees "Sorry, you lost!"

  • The winner receives the prize pool for that buy-in level.

What Happens While Waiting for an Opponent?

If you're the first player to register, you'll be seated at a table while waiting for another player.

During this time:

  • The table displays Waiting for 1 more player.

  • You can unregister before another player joins.

  • If you unregister before the match starts, your buy-in and entry fee are returned to your account.

Once another player joins and the match begins, you can no longer unregister from that match.

What Happens After a Match?

When the match ends, you'll see the result along with two options:

  • Play Again: Opens registration for another match at the same buy-in.

  • No: Closes the result screen.

Selecting Play Again does not automatically register you for another match. You'll need to confirm the new registration, and another buy-in and fee will apply.

You can also review the match's hand history while the finished table is still available.

Important: Once you leave the finished table, its hand history is no longer available.
